Colour mixes can be studied and customized in a deep collaboration between the Client and the Meta research and development laboratory, without any limit of components.

Furthermore, pre-compacted granules of colour mixes can be fine-tuned for particular and refined effects.

Infinite are the combination options between the several Meta spray-dried bodies, generally in the size of 0-5 mm or 0-7 mm, but can eventually be customized on the Client’s need.

It shows extremely high plasticity making it suitable both for pressing, even in large-size tiles, and for extrusion or casting.

A next-to-zero firing shrinkage, in a wide range of temperatures, demonstrate its excellent stability, even validated by the low and steady hygroexpansivity.

Initially targeted for drawing or extrusion porcelain stoneware, was then highly appreciated for its properties even for pressing applications through multiple loading or as a body for double pressing.

The high flexibility makes it perfect for slab tiles production.

 Other than the excellent plasticity, Zeta 2 body presents:

• a steady and controlled Coefficient of Expansion, making it ductile to several different applications;
• an extremely high content of clay minerals, increasing the presence of alumina which brings along an extra physical, chemical and mechanical strength.

The finest national and imported raw materials are selected for production, making it a body with a high greenware flexural strength and flawless colour.

Moreover, the body shows:

• good dimensional stability;
• low and steady linear shrinkage at vitrification;
• excellent for ceramic pressing.

Its exceptional properties make it suitable for slab tiles production, with the possibility to customize the residual humidity depending on the application.

Furthermore, it constitutes the starting slip for the lightest colours’ production.

• excellent for ceramic pressing;
• high bend strength for both greenware, dried and fired wares;
• clean and constant colour after firing;
• low and steady linear shrinkage at vitrification;
• good dimensional stability at any possible firing cycle.

Its exceptional properties make it suitable for slab tiles production.

The spray-dried body Neutro White originates a wide range of colours honed over the years following the market trends.

To begin with, it shows a high flexural strength after drying, allowing it to withstand several consecutive movements and glazing, even for greater tiles’ dimensions, without undergoing any greenware breaking that too often penalizes these productions.

The other properties of Tecnogres are:

• the shrinkage after firing, which is significantly low at vitrification;
• the dimensional stability throughout firing, making it adaptable to different cycles;
• the coefficient of thermal expansion, constant and controlled, thus compatible with the majority of semi-finished products and glazes available.

Thanks to the excellent characteristic of 9050 Tecnogres, we developed the set of colours awarded with the LEED certification for sustainability in 2014.
