The year 2016 was a recovery for the ceramic industry

The year 2016 was a recovery of the ceramic industry in total sales (+ 4.6%), thanks to the rise after years of decline in demand in the Italian market (+ 5.5%) and an expansion of exports (+4.4 %), which have pulled the production (+ 5.4%). The Italian production thus returns to exceed 415 million square meters, while for the biennium 2017-2018, despite a slowdown in the overall situation, these results are expected to consolidate in order to bring the production to grow further in following years.
